Animation, a group of passionate young adults (16- 19) inspired by music ready to put on a fantastic show full of undiscovered talent and established artists for the whole community to enjoy. These participants are also promoting the showcase and booking the artists on their own, a very talented bunch of people. This is the show run "by young people, for young people".

This EastSide Stories Showcase will be the fifth to be held and is striving to be the absolute best yet. With acts in the past such as Choong Fam, Big Narstie, L.Dot Man, EC and many others, it seems a hard task for this years group to top that but don't worry, we are pushing hard. If you want to be one of the acts to perform on the night, the time for you is NOW! Send all the demos Eastside Stories, c/o CLC, 144 Billet Road, Walthamstow, E17 5DP. Please note that prior to the auditions YOU WILL NEED to supply a demo on tape/CD/DVD by November 17th 2006 with all the contact details we will need to get in touch with you

The venue for these auditions will be Stratford Circus, a well known venue in the beating heart of East London. This fantastic building opened in 2001 and has been putting on successful shows from the beginning. This will be no different. . . The auditions will be watched by key industry figures as well as the participants of The DV8 Training course which has been brilliantly run for 7 straight years. The majority of the students are artists themselves so the auditions will be watched from a musicians standpoint.

Lij International is seeking talented, intelligent and committed Rastafari brethrens and sistrens to become Local Representatives of the organisation and to work for the organisation in their respective communities.

 

Lij International is an International Rastafari Youth Society with representation in Guyana, Jamaica, USA and Ethiopia. The Organisation is devoted to empowering our youths in all aspect of their lives and to combat all social illnesses that retard our upward progress, such as racial discrimination, Joblessness, illiteracy, lack of access to basic social services, imperialism, terrorism, etc.

 

In taking on such a stupendous task, the input and support of the entire global Rastafari Youth community has become needed.

 

Ones applying for this position need to be computer literate, especially in the use of Microsoft Word and other such programs. Applicants should also be versed in the use of the internet and must possess their personal PC with internet connection.
