Greetings:

Ones may already know about the trod to Ethiopia Nov. 2009. However, to make this a practical trod which can benefit the nation. I had a reasoning with Karl Philpot & Roy McPherson from Washington D.C. to about  ways & means in order to make this trod a success. It is InI intention to visit the Crown Council and the Ethiopian Embassy during I stay in D.C.

Kindly review the information again to refresh ones minds of the intent. At the said time review the draft proposed plan of action and itinerary for the trod by Ras Liontree below.

I will be in Washington D.C. from Nov. 18 - 21, 2008 to make preparation for ones readiness. This will allow InI nuff time for adjustment to be made and to gather information to ensure practical planning & organization to meet the challenges which can face InI on the Motherland.

Dr. Jahlani, Brother Karl made a request for the I to contact him

Awaits ones positive feed forward,

November 2, 2008

Greetings To The Crown Council Of Ethiopia,

One year ago remarks were made to an international audience by Crown Council President His Imperial Highness Prince Ermias Sahle-Selassie Haile-Selassie. On November 2, 2007, His Imperial Highness said at the Smithsonian Institute’s opening of Discovering Rastafari, an exhibit whose main focus is H.I.M. Haile Selassie The 1st. “Tonight is a bright evening because we continue to see the light of Rastafari shine.” Moreover, at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, during a visit this year, the Prince made a presentation and said “the new African Millennium must acknowledge the heroic struggle for independence that was waged and won by gallant African leaders on the continent. Thus, we salute the memory of Emperor Menelik II, Emperor Haile Selassie I, etc…”

It is within this spirit and reality that we reach out to the Crown Council to share our intention to visit Harar, the birth place of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie The First in one years time. On behalf of the delegation that is going to Ethiopia next November we would like to set an in person meeting with the Crown Council to better prepare our delegation for a successful journey to Harar. Our agenda is as follows:

1st. To learn about the conditions of the land and house where His Majesty was born.
2nd . To consider how to support the upkeep of this historical landmark in the spirit of keeping the light of Rastafari shining at home and abroad.
3rd. To have an understanding of the situation with the Crown Council vs. the Government of Ethiopia and the birthplace of H.I.M.
th. To gather information whereas the Rastafari collective can assist in the development of Harar, such as establishing organic agriculture/village with all the modern technologies. In meeting with the Crown Council we hope to continue the process of bridging individuals and organizations that have Ethiopia’s highest good intentions within their mission. As the Rastafari Nation continues to organize and centralize towards an official representation of the movement. This journey to the Motherland has the blessing and support of the global Rastafari fraternity, especially, the Elders of our collective.

We humbly request your response to our desire to meet in person on November 19th or 20th in DC. We represent many levels of the movement and the delegation that would travel to Harar next year. Find attached a copy of the itinerary and a draft of the promotional template.

In Service To The Crown,

Ras Sela – Carlos A. Seales, Discovering Rastafari Advisor, EADUMC member and Nexus of the Hispanic Rastafari Community
