RASTAFARI IN ITALY

Greetings in the name of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie the first

Since my close sistren moved to Italy several years ago, I have become a regular visitor and now have many close idrens among the Italian family. It is always a great pleasure and honour to link with the Italian community to Ilabrate the blessings that RAS TAFARI brings to I&I.

This year my sistren Sis Sharon forwarded with I for the 77th Ilabration of the Coronation. The event was held in the mountains in Central Italy in converted farm buildings at Borgo Casaglia. View Ilabration flyer here. As it was off season I&I had full use of all the apartments and the main hall. It is a truly beautiful location surrounded by olive groves and unspoiled countryside.

The Ilabrations continued over 4 days and altogether around 35 idrens attended from all over Italy. Food was cooked communally with everyone taking a turn in food preparation. Give thanks to Sista Hanna and Ras Guilio for organising and arranging everything.

Over the course of the 4 days several activities were organised including a talk on the Book of Enoch from Ras Iyared. I hope to have a summary in English of this soon.

Other talks included one on the significance of the Coronation from Ras Isi. 

At other times idrens gathered in the main room and outside for reasoning and chanting.
