New - April 27, Sun, 1PM Doors, 2pm Film
Fan'aye SunLight and ProjectEAT.org
PROJECTEAT.ORG is a grassroots traveling school room, utilizing the power of digital media and special events to promote a GO GREEN CAMPAIGN. Join honored guests at this complimentary screening of a candid film, Life and Debt, by Stephanie Black, (producer of Africa Unite, the Film.)  This is a must see film for everyone, especially Jamaicans.  Take a look at the effects of how globalization effects the world. Doors open at 1 pm sharp.  Event starts immediately after.  Guest speakers Baba Pear_Sun, raw food chef/herbalist speaks about the need to start a seed bank and organic farming.  Eric Yankwitt, PL, President of Lauderhill Chamber of Commerce will give us some vital information to enlighten us.
Starting at 2pm, the film begins to uncover slave labor in free zones, the destroying of families, farm communities and trusts.  It shows the intent of the World Bank, the IMF and others brutally destroying the  infrastructure of the free world.  Tell your family and invite your friends and witness a raw look into Jamaica and the corporations who exploit.
Come early to meet and greet, network with businesses and leaders in our community.    100% of donations fund E.A.T. YOUTH MISSION as the school room prepare to live, work and learn in Jamaica for the next year.  Subsequently, others are preparing to work in Ghana and Ethiopia.  We invite family and friends from everywhere.
We look forward to seeing you there.

A year before the assassination of RFK & MLK, the turbulent 60's were brought to life in 1967 with the musical HAIR at New York's Public Theatre. After a year off-Broadway the show surprised many with a move to Broadway. Protesting another unpopular war with nudity, foul language and flower children as the protagonists, the show continued its phenomenal popular appeal playing to SRO crowds nightly (and matinees too!) before being launched around the globe.
To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of "Hair's" debut on Broadway, Cinema Paradiso will play host to a special screening of the 1979 musical film "Hair" directed by Milos Foreman.
The evening starts at 6:30pm with a "Love-In" at the Paradiso Patio Courtyard.
Special guest Sheena Spirit
, an actress from the film will perform at the "Love-In."  Incense will fill the air, sample Vegetarian Cuisine from Sublime, get your face painted, put flowers in your hair, or just groove out to great tunes from the 1960's!
Admission is FREE with your item donation to Broward Partnership For the Homeless, Inc.!

Lanzallamas
Lanzallamas Monofonica is a 7 piece ensemble charged with melodic fire and global rhythmical chemistry. The palette consists of a wide array of percussive instruments such as the cajon, steel pan, tumbas, timbalitos, Afro-Brazilian hand percussion and drumset. Elegant layers of acoustic guitar, cuatro, violin, and piano complement and enrich the sonic concept, with the heartbeat of the bass and breath of the flugle horn to deliver a very unique sound. Simple and memorable melodies are brought to life within the lyrics, focused on unity and love, are presented in multiple languages including Spanish, English, Portuguese and Serbian. The mission is clear; to create music of a "Monophonic Essence" - the one sound that encompasses all. Lanzallamas Monofonica is a band of substance with a skin of upbeat, appealing colors for an audience as diverse as the group's members.
