Meskerem 1 2000 (September 12th 2007) was the first day of the 3rd Millennium.
On Pagume 6 1999 (September 11th 2007) Ethiopians all over the world and their friends celebrated New Year's Eve.

The Italian Rastafari family invited the Ethiopian & Eritrean community to a party & reggae concert in Rome to celebrate the Ethiopian Millennium. This was held on the Meskerem 4 2000 / 15th September 2007. The Italian family give thanks and praise to His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie the first for this opportunity to praise the Most High and welcome in the 3rd millennium together with the Ethiopian & Eritrean community.
