"Give thanks for the well thought out response, Ras Selah. As
for I however, I learnt from the Ancients upon sighting Ras Tafari 28
years ago, Redemption, Repatriation, and Liberation are our aims. More
recently reparations has been at the forefront.
I an I would be presumptuous to change the basic principles of the
Movement which have stood and guided I an I for almost 60 years and
which many sacrificed their lives for. His Imperial Majesty said,
"Send the right ones" Ask Mortimer Planno about that visit
to Ethiopia. His Imperial Majesty also gave a land grant which would
give I an I a sense of belonging as we have been in forced exile for
generations post slavery.
How long will we build the value and economic system of babywrong
which is being swallowed up day by day, while they continue to
incarcerate our husbands and sons and convince our sisters they must
tie their tubes. Check the headlines. I can force no one to see what I
was taught, and I won't try to convince any one of what Our Father the
Almighty Jah Ras Tafari felt as He stood under the sycamore tree in
Shashamane with tears in His eyes, asking, ' where are the people.'
I an I will never accept the conditions affecting us instead we
must seek to identify and change them. That is the essence of Ras
Tafari we are the change agents for the world. That could never be
denial and mix-up. We are the "Peculiar People" who will
find our way home and those who don't want to go or think its not a
reality, then Jah bless them too.
One thing is for sure another Gathering is not the solution to our
problems. I think action and implementation is our problem. The 22
points plan from two decades ago has it all. That is our problem.
IMPLEMENTATION! We have the blue print as His Imperial Majesty and
Marcus Mosiah Garvey have provided this for I an I. How long shall we
be stiff necked how long shall we be careless Ethiopians seeking
validation from our down pressors, how long shall our children
question our rhetoric and slogans and suffer through the humiliation
of being dreadlocked in school and called all sorts of names while we
try to figure our what to do.
Please overstand my passion Iloved and know that I have nothing but
love for my brothers and sisters and regardless and I can always be
counted on in the Army of Jah to fight for my people. But I am a
mother and a wife in pain for what I see happening to my people, All
Black People. Let us rid our heart of fear, and let us place our trust
in Jah and not in politicians and policies that distract and deflect,
let us be wise.
As for the AU the work continues and a great opportunity is in
front of us where that is concerned. I an I have been working hard to
overstand this organ and how they truly function, great change is at
hand. And once things are in a state to be presented then we will see
the manifestation of our Ancient's works. Yes the Ancients need food
and shelter but they need to go home where they can fulfill their
work.
I give thanks for your efforts and opinions and pray that my few
words will add to the discourse on development and may we be as it was
decades ago when ones could reason and agree to disagree but let us
"never give up the fight". May Jah have mercy on us all.
